Christmas 2001 A.D.

The end of the year always brings us to a place where we look back and find events that highlighted the year that is about to end. Here are some family highlights for the year 2001.

Once again, we had an opportunity to visit our friends and families during the unplanned” vacation that we had this past summer. Junior went for Training in Toronto and we worked around those dates and had our vacation at the same time.

It was such a blessing to see several family friends. We visited Ginny & Don Ducharme who gave us a warm welcome dinner to their home with other friends from the area (Webster & Rochester, NY). We spent a few days in Wooster, Ohio where my brother’s family had a very busy summer having their home built. We got to see most of Junior’s family during his cousin’s wedding in Owen Sound, Ontario.

The start of the school year for Keshia and Kyle always brings excitement and anticipation for the new school year— new teachers — new friends— new things to learn.

The September 11 incident had brought us to our knees for those families who had lost a loved one. It is during these instances that we are reminded again and again how precious life is.

Miquo and kidsKyle had started taking piano lessons this year. He enjoys it. He will have his first recital this month and will be playing piano duet too with Keshia. Keshia joined the Youth group (in church) this past fall. She is still into speedskating, piano, and her dog (Miquo) to take care of.

Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for your prayers, calls, emails, and letters. Merry Christmas! May you experience God’s Peace this Christmas season and the Hope we have from Him for the coming year.
