Ever since we moved to Canada, going to the beach has been a highlight. There are a couple of fresh water beaches near (10-30 minutes drive) our place. We have used these beaches when we wanted to cool-off. Salt water beaches are few hours drive from our city.
During our second summer here, we drove to Cavendish, P.E.I. for a weekend. It was the kids’ first taste of salt body of water in Canada. Several years later, we went to Shediac, N.B. – the warmest salt water beaches east of Virginia.

This past long weekend, we rented a cottage in Beaubassin-Est, N.B. It was a great location to the sandy beaches New Brunswick can offer. To our west and north-west, Shediac and Bouctouche. To our east, Cap-Pele and Murray Corner.

Our grandchildren had a great time playing on the sand and on the water and their visit to the Moncton Zoo.
